In this position, you will be responsible for all LGH sales activity within Europe.

Working closely with management, you will help to build a clear vision and sales strategy targeting further growth and developing LGH's market position. You will formulate strategic account plans for each market, sector and customer group. Together with a team of 2 sales managers (1 in the Netherlands and 1 in Germany) and 6 account managers (3 in Germany, 2 in the Netherlands and 1 in Belgium), you will look after the European market. You will work closely with the marketing manager in the UK and the local marketing assistants to generate a steady stream of leads. You will also provide guidance and direction where required and regularly accompany them on new business outings. Sales markets for the rental of lifting and materials handling gear are extremely diverse. It is therefore crucial to identify the appropriate segments and to formulate priorities in line with the objectives. Once the market position in the territories listed above has been significantly improved, you will shift your focus to the Southern and Eastern European markets. In sales meetings, you will discuss all matters that are relevant to realizing further growth. You will spend approximately 25% of your time travelling. (Attendance at certain meetings will also require travel to the UK and US.) You will report to the Managing Director of LGH in the Netherlands.

Our client, LGH (Lifting Gear Hire) is a British family business and is the leading specialist in (project-based) providing lifting and material handling equipment for the last 40 years. The chain hoists (manual, electric or pneumatic), gantry cranes, hoists and lifting beams are supplied to a diverse customer base within the construction, maritime, industrial and manufacturing sectors. The expertise, experience and state-of-the-art facilities within the company allow it to offer tailored solutions to meet even the most complex and specific of lifting project requirements.
